DENVER, Colo. - Metro State athletic director Joan McDermott announced that John Supsic (pronounced “sup-sick”) has been named the head cross country and track coach at Metro State on Wednesday. Supsic was an assistant coach during the 2009 cross country season under interim coach Sean Nesbitt.

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Metro State women's cross country team is ranked No. 20 in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association NCAA Division II top-25 poll released on Wednesday.  It is the first time in school history the women's team has been ranked at Metro State.

WAYNE, Neb. - The Metro State women's cross country team qualified for the NCAA Championships for the second year in a row as it finished fifth at the NCAA Central Region Championships on Saturday in Wayne, Neb.  The top-six teams all qualified for the NCAA Championships.  For Metro State, it was the second consecutive year it has finished fifth at the regional championship.  Last year, the Roadrunners went on to place 19th at the national meet.

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Metro State women's cross country team is ranked eighth in the Central Region in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association rankings released on Tuesday.  It is the first time since Sept. 15 that the Roadrunners have been ranked in the region.

DENVER, Colo. - The Metro State women's cross country team finished fifth out of 13 teams at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday at Washington Park in Denver.  It was the second-highest finish in Metro State's five years of women's cross country after finishing fourth last year.

BOULDER, Colo. - Metro State's women's cross country team placed three runners in the top-10 as the Roadrunners finished second out of 11 teams in the non-NCAA Division I portion of the University of Colorado Rocky Mountain Shootout on Saturday morning in Boulder at Buffalo Ranch.  It was Metro State's third top-10 finish as a team this season in its third meet.
