STARKVILLE, Miss. - The Metro State softball team has moved up two spots to No. 9 in this week's National Fastpitch Coaches Association NCAA Division II top-25 poll released on Wednesday.  The Roadrunners were ranked 11th last week.  No. 5 Winona State is the only other Central Region team in the top-25.

DENVER, Colo. - Metro State men's basketball player Donte Nicholas was named Daktronics second team All-Central Region on Wednesday, one of 10 players on the all-region team.  The team is sponsored by Daktronics, Inc., an acknowledged world leader in scoring, timing and programmable display systems for virtually every sport at every level of competition. The team is voted on by the members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) from the Central Region, made up of 32 men’s basketball playing institutions in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

DENVER, Colo. - Regis University hit four home runs and had 16 hits as the visiting Rangers knocked off Metro State 12-3 on Tuesday in a non-conference game at Metro State.  Regis improved to 6-7 overall, while Metro State fell to 8-6.

ROLLA, Mo. - The Metro State men's basketball team has climbed back into the National Association of Basketball Coaches NCAA Division II top-25 poll, coming in at No. 21 this week.  The Roadrunners were receiving votes, but not in the top-25 the past three weeks.

Minnesota State University, Mankato released ticket information for the upcoming NCAA Tournament:

Each ticket for the 2010 NCAA Division II Men’s Central Regional Basketball Tournament will provide admittance on a round-by-round basis and the facility will be cleared after each session. There will be both reserved and general admission tickets available for each session. Tickets are $15 for reserved general admission, $10 for adults and $5 for youth (ages 5-17), senior citizens and college students with school identification.

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - No. 11 Metro State completed a four-game sweep over preseason RMAC West Division favorite Mesa State as the Roadrunners won 11-5 and 5-4 on Sunday in Grand Junction, Colo. The Roadrunners improved to 11-1 overall and 8-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while the Mavericks fell to 3-5 overall and 1-5 in the RMAC.

PUEBLO, Colo. - Metro State overcame a 19-point deficit with 15 minutes left in the game to win the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Shootout championship for the ninth time in school history and the second straight year, topping New Mexico Highlands 83-79 on Saturday in Pueblo.  The Roadrunners improved to 24-6 overall, while the Cowboys fell to 20-10.
